With many of us practicing social distancing and sticking indoors for the foreseeable future, we’ve put together some tips and resources to help you stay culinarily entertained.
Cooking with Cannabis – The Culinary Cannabis Show
Two of Canada’s brightest in Cannabis Infused dining have launched an Instagram live show to keep you company each and every night. Join Cody Lindsay (The Wellness Soldier) Travis Petersen (The Nomad Cook) every night at 7:30PM MST as they show you fun infused recipes, talk with special guests and make different cannabis infusions, with plenty of laughs along the way. If you miss a show, don’t worry! You can watch each episode for 24 hours afterwards on their Instagram stories.

Support local restaurants
While most cities have forced restaurants to close down their regular operations, many are still able to operate by delivery. If you’re able to, consider ordering in this week to help our your favourite businesses. Many offer delivery through the larger delivery services, like Uber Eats and Door Dash, while some are operating on their own or through local providers like Love Local Delivery in Ottawa.
As a first step, reach out directly and see if your favourite restaurant offers delivery or pickup options either direct through their website or by phone. This will increase the amount of revenue going directly to them by omitting third-party delivery companies. If they don’t, check out the links below to see if they offer delivery through any of these services.
Clean out your fridge
Sometimes, you just need a little more inspiration for dinner. May we present: MyFridgeFood and SuperCook. Simply input ingredients you have in the fridge/pantry and they’ll give you recipes for how to best utilize what you have! Use this tool to try something new or to spice up a family favourite.
Drink more water
Being stuck inside is not an excuse to let dehydration get the best of you! Especially with those now working from home, make sure you’re taking adequate breaks and drinking enough water to stay hydrated. If you need some extra reminders, there are plenty of apps out there like Aloe Bud, Drink Water Reminder, Plant Nanny and many more to help you get your fluids.
