Cannabinoids
CANNABINOIDS
Cannabinoids are the natural chemicals inside cannabis. A cannabis strain can produce anywhere from dozens to over 100 different cannabinoids. The most prominent ones are THC and CBD since they’re responsible for the cerebral and sedative effects that cannabis offers.
THC - Tetrahydrocannabinol
The cerebral effects of cannabis are caused by this psychoactive cannabinoid. High levels of THC can increase a strain’s effects but there are other factors to consider such as CBD, personal tolerance, and strain species.

CBD - Cannabidiol
This non-psychoactive cannabinoid is what produces the “body high” associated with cannabis. Pure CBD products are desired for their relaxing effects. The presence of CBD can reduce the effects of THC in the strain.

BALANCED 1:1
A strain with equally potent THC and CBD (1:1 ratio). The mind and body effects of these strains are equal, making them ideal for people who are sensitive to cannabis (low tolerance) or prefer an overall more subtle experience.
Friendly Advice: Equal potency doesn't mean equal percentages. Think of it more like Low:Low , Med:Med , High:High.
