In order for us to continue to provide the standards of service we offer, there are a few policies in place (“Terms of Service and Sale”) that govern use of our website and our webshop for non-cannabis product transactions. 

Minors are not permitted to use our website or our webshop. By accessing this website you have represented that you are 19 years of age or older. 

Please take a moment to review our website and webshop “Terms of Service and Sale” FAQ carefully before using our website and placing your order as they contain important information.

By using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service and Sale. If you do not agree to accept and abide by these Terms of Service and Sale you may not access or use this website or the webshop. 

Our online store for home cannabis delivery and curbside pickup is hosted by a third party web based platform and technology service provider, Courier Plus Inc. (“Dutchie”) located in the United States of America which provides its services to our customers through its website located at www.dutchie.com. You acknowledge and agree that access to and use of our online store for home cannabis delivery and curbside pickup is provided via the Internet and that your information, including personal information, may be transferred across national borders and stored or processed in the United States or any country in the world. 

Please review carefully Dutchie’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction on our online store for home cannabis delivery and curbside pickup. We are not responsible for the terms of service and privacy policies and practices of Dutchie and do not warrant and are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made using the Dutchie platform.

 

Age Policy

Minimum Age

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to order from us. When placing an order on our webshop, all customers are required to verify that they are legal age in their applicable jurisdiction or older, and agree to the “Terms of Service and Sale”. 

Age Verification

Please be advised that we do not sell to minors. Non-Cannabis products will be shipped using Canada Post’s age verification service. Customers who are not of legal age that order products from our site, will not be able to accept delivery. Canada Post will only accept valid, Government issued identification. All packages must be signed for upon delivery. Canada Post will ask for photo identification to verify age and to collect a valid signature for delivery confirmation and credit card purposes.

Our Burlington and London locations offer free curbside pickup and home cannabis delivery for a $4.20 delivery fee, with a minimum purchase order of $40.00, and free delivery for orders $50 or more. The name on your order must match a government issued identification shown for verification purposes for both curbside pickup and delivery. We are delivering to Burlington, London, Mississauga, Oakville and many parts of Toronto. See here for details.

Identification

Standard/Free Delivery - Canada Post is not delivering directly to residential properties during this time. Parcels are being dropped at the nearest post office for pick up. ID verification is handled by Canada Post employees at the time of pickup.

Express Delivery - Our local delivery company delivers packages to the front of the building and will verify your ID safely upon arrival.

Cannabis Delivery - A Friendly Associate delivers your package to the front of the building and will verify your ID safely upon arrival.

Refused Shipments

Shipments that are returned to us due to an invalid age verification or a delivery refusal, will be credited for the full value of the purchase, less all associated shipping and handling costs. Canada Post charges return shipping fees on non deliverable shipments.

Service Area

We are a Canadian company serving Canadians.

We do not sell or ship products outside of Canada. 

We will ship non-Cannabis products to you if you live anywhere in Canada! There may be a small additional charge for postage if your address is located in one of the more remote areas of this country. See here for details. Canada Post services all addresses in Canada.

At this time we are only offering home cannabis delivery to Burlington, Mississauga, Oakville and most parts of Toronto. See delivery radius. As well as London, St. Thomas, Thamesford, and Byron. See delivery radius.

 

Payment Acceptance

Payment Options 

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for non-Cannabis product transactions. Due to the nature of our product line, we are not able to accept PayPal. Your transaction for non-Cannabis products will display as Friendly Stranger on your credit card or bank statement.

Credit Cards and First Orders

As a security measure, your first order from our webshop for non-Cannabis products must be shipped to the billing address of the credit card used to pay for the order. After a successful first order has been received and signed for, you will then be allowed to use a different shipping address to send gifts to friends, or family of legal age. If the Name and Address on the credit card does not match with the Shipping and Customer Account Information, orders will not be processed.

Credit Card Acceptance

You may only place and pay for orders using your own credit card. It is illegal to use another person’s credit card (this includes your spouse or other family members). The webshop account information used to place the order, must match the credit card billing information. 

Data Security

We use High-Grade AES-128 Bit SSL Encryption to protect your payment information when you submit an order through our webshop for a non-Cannabis transaction. Your credit card information is used to process the payment for your order, and then immediately deleted.

Pricing

All prices shown are in Canadian Dollars and do not include shipping and taxes, which will be added when checking out. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

Although we do our best to provide you with the most accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, we reserve the right to correct or cancel an order at any time, and/or edit an order to reflect the correction, and/or correct the error on this website.

Online & In Store Pricing

Online prices displayed are the same as the prices found in our retail locations. All sale prices are honoured in store except when otherwise stated for exclusive offers.

Inventory

Online inventory may differ from what is available in our stores. Please call nearest Friendly Stranger location to verify product availability.

Taxes

Appropriate taxation is calculated automatically and collected based on your geographic area in Canada. There are no exceptions.

Sales Policies

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order including orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors or are in violation of applicable law. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. 

We will attempt to contact you if all or any portion of your order is canceled or if additional information is required to accept your order. If your order is canceled after your credit card has been charged, we will issue a credit to the credit card you used to make the purchase in the amount of the charge.

Warranties are covered by their respective manufacturers. Most non-Cannabis items are exchangeable within 15 days with receipt, certain conditions apply. Products for exchange must be unused, and in original condition. Customer is responsible for shipping costs on product exchanges. See full return/exchange policy.

 

Returns/Exchanges

Friendly Stranger webshop orders can be returned if the product is unused and in its original condition*. Send an email to webshop@friendlystranger.com with the subject “Return” and we will begin the process. If you qualify for a return, we will send you an empty box with a return shipping label and instructions on how to package and send. Since the initial shipping cost is covered by us, customers are required to pay any return shipping fees on general returns. Once we have received the returned item, you will receive a refund on the card used for purchase. In the event of an exchange, we will send out the new order at this time.

Order Changes

At any time before your order has been fulfilled and shipped you are able to adjust your order. We encourage everyone to create a profile at checkout and provide their email. This will  allow you to sign in and edit your order as well as check on your status. This is a great time to check and see if all your information is correct such as your name and address. Once an order has been fulfilled and shipped we are not able to make adjustments and you will have to follow our steps for making a return. Loss or Breakage

All shipments are insured against loss.

Should a package get lost in transit, we will replace the shipment. 

We go to great lengths to ensure all of our deliveries arrive safe and sound.

Friendly Stranger follows or exceeds Canada Post packing specifications.

We use only quality boxes and packing materials. All items are carefully inspected prior to packaging for shipping.

Breakage or damage seldom happens. Should your product arrive in damaged condition, please keep all boxes and packing materials.

In the rare occurrence that your product arrives broken/damaged or is lost please contact us immediately at webshop@friendlystranger.com for instructions on what to do next. We will work with you and Canada Post to quickly remedy any issues.

Refused or Returned Shipments

Packages returned to Friendly Stranger incur return shipping fees from Canada Post. When orders are undeliverable due to an incomplete customer address or a failed Proof of Age request, we will issue a refund for your order total less the cost of shipping both ways.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete shipping information when placing your order. If a shipping error occurs on behalf of our shipping department, we will gladly correct the error and reship the package at our expense. Please ensure your shipping information is accurate before placing your order.

Shipping/Delivery Options

  1. Direct Store Delivery - Purchases made through our Dutchie Checkout will arrive by vehicle either the same day or next day. Free delivery on orders over $50. Minimum order value of $40 with a delivery fee of $4.20. (Service available for Burlington, London, Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga, and Hamilton).
  2. Standard/Free Delivery - Purchases made through our regular Friendly Stranger Checkout will arrive by Canada Post. Regular delivery has been affected by Covid-19. Deliveries may take up to 10 business days. (Free delivery available across Canada on orders $25 or more).
  3. Express Delivery - Purchases made locally through our regular Friendly Stranger Checkout have the option for $15 flat rate Express Delivery. These orders arrive within 1-2 days* by a local delivery company. (Service available for Toronto and most of the GTA). *Our webshop operates Mon-Fri and does not deliver on holidays or weekends.

Shipping Details

We ship non-Cannabis products with Canada Post Expedited Parcel service.

You will receive a Tracking number for your shipment via email, and may follow the shipment on the Canada Post website. You will need proper identification for age verification, and will need to sign for your package upon arrival.

Products are shipped from our head office in Toronto, Ontario.
